What We Offer

Pro Merita provides a half-day/whole-life program.

In other words, we offer:

a half-day academic program and flexible attendance.
mentors and classroom support with BC Certified teachers (not a home school situation).
extra-curricular efforts can "count" in learning -- for example, athletes don't need to participate in a PE class as we have the ability to document their athletic pursues for PE credit.
low teacher to student ratio -- and teachers who genuinely care about the success of their students and are available and work with parents on individual student needs. Availability of the teachers also means more personal attention in areas where the student requires a bit more help.
an aggressive curriculum -- we need to cover all aspects of individual grade level requirements and be more accountable by tangibly demonstrating meeting these outcomes to parents and to the BC Ministry of Education. Students, if they're able, have the opportunity to take additional courses and manipulate their course load to accommodate competitions and travel.
at the High School level, we offer more flexibility in being able to use BC Ministry of Education's Board Approved Courses to capture the student's extracurricular activity for credit on their transcript.
a student community that has an exceptional work ethic and is accepting of the unusual nature of a competitive schedule.
